Privacy Clause

Strategic Systems Consultants Limited (“SSC”, “us”, “we” or “our”) provide the iFMS apps (“Apps”) for users authorized to use the Apps subject to the Terms and Conditions of use.

This privacy notice informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information that may be collected when you use the Apps.  We are committed to protecting your personal information when you use our Apps.  The collected personal information are used in line with data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal information being collected

The Apps may collect the following types of personal information about you when you use the apps that is connected to a designated server (“Server”).  This includes:

-  user account details: User ID that can identify yourself that is provided by your company will be stored at the Server along with transactions you create.

- mobile device information: information about your smartphone or mobile device are required for the delivery of information from the Server to your device.  Examples of such data include  device type which may contain unique device identifying numbers, its operating system and applications on the device that connect to the Apps.  

- details of your internet service provider, mobile network and your IP address may also be collected.

- your comments, photo images and multimedia information uploaded via our Apps are stored in the Server to support the business process.  

- your location when you use our Read Tag function to scan a RFID tag fixed by your company at designated checkpoints along a patrol route.  

Use of your personal information

The only reason personal information are collected by the Apps is to deliver the system functions documented in the system's user manual. 

Disclosure of personal information

In the majority of cases, your personal information will not be disclosed to other people or parties unless there is a necessity and when your consent is provided.

However, there will be situations where your personal information have to be disclosed without gaining prior consent, such situations include but no limit to cases when :

- the government or  regulatory organisations make such a request and the company is obligated by law to assist them with their investigations or initiatives.

- the police and law enforcement bodies make such a request and the company is obligated by law to assist them with the investigation or prevention of crime.

The legitimacy and justification of such requests shall be verified against the asserted purposes.

Retention of personal information

Your personal information will be kept for as long as you have an active User ID and registered device at the Server.  After your User ID is deleted or revoked, your personal information may be kept by your company at the Server for a reasonable period to maintain their records and legal obligations to you.

Your rights in relation to personal information

You have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

-  the right to be informed about how your personal information is being used;

-  the right to request for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;

-  the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you; and

-  the right to request the blocking or deletion of your personal information where the processing does not comply with applicable data protection laws.

You can let your company know at any time that you do not wish to use the Apps and ask them to delete your personal data held at the Server.  You should uninstall your Apps at your smartphone or device immediately.

Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages.  These cookies are essential for our websites to work. They do not record identifiable personal information and we do not need your consent to place these cookies on your device. Without these cookies some services you have asked for cannot be provided.

Changes to this notice

This privacy notice may be from time to time. When this privacy notice is changed in a material way, we will update the version date at the top of this page. For significant changes to this notice, reasonable notice will be provided to you unless we are prevented from doing so. Where required by law your consent to changes in the way we use your personal information will be sought beforehand.
